Oban is easily accessible from across Scotland.

 

With regular ferries docking in the harbour, frequent direct train services from Glasgow Queen Street, and easy road access via the A85, you can look forward to a pleasant journey to No. 26 By The Sea.

By public transport

 

There are approximately 12 train services per day leaving from Glasgow Queen Street.

Taking just over 3 hours, the train from Glasgow to Oban passes through picturesque locations within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park including Tarbet, Ardlui, Crianlarich and Loch Awe.

By car

 

Approximately 2.5 hours from Glasgow and 2.5 hours from Edinburgh, our hotel in Oban is a pleasant drive which takes in some of Scotland’s most famous scenery including Loch Lomond & The Trossashs National Park before passing Loch Awe and Loch Etive as you travel further west.

 

From Glasgow

  • Get on M8 from Port Dundas Rd and A804
  • Follow M8, A82 and A85 to Corran Esplanade in Oban
  • At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Corran Esplanade

From Edinburgh

  • Take B901, Inverleith Terrace and E Fettes Ave to Ferry Rd/A902
  • Take M9, A84 and A85 to Corran Esplanade in Oban
  • At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Corran Esplanade
